Wanted something different for this morning and headed over to Lebanon. They use more seasoning than just salt & pepper here and itβs really tasty. Everyone working here seems to be family. I donβt want to make it too crowded for me to come back, but Iβd say itβs worth it. Weβll be back :-)
Absolutely delicious food - and fabulous service. Highly recommend the breakfast!
This is the spot!! Unbelievable food coming out of this small kitchen. The grilled cheese was one of the best Iβve had and the buffalo chicken chili was incredible. The lantern fries were also a highlight. It does take a while to get your food, but the wait is definitely worth it. They also have a nice selection of hot sauces to purchase. Do not miss out on this gem in downtown Lebanon!
Love this place!! The chef puts together flavors as a master. I have renamed him the food magician. A place that is highly unrecognized for the quality of food and service. Our server has been wonderful every time I have been. And great fun to have the chef come by the table personally to greet guests. Will keep coming back.
When my family and I were stationed at Scott AFB, we loved going to The Lantern. Great atmosphere and great service. The food was always wonderful. That dill ranch on a salad is top-notch. The bad reviews are from people just wanting to complain, so take it with a grain of salt. The long wait is usually a good sign, either packed because of the wonderful food. The Lantern is one of the main reasons I miss Illinois.
Stopped in for lunch during a road trip. Super great place! Staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Food was also tasty and filling for a reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone passing through :)
The Lantern never disappoints. Small town restaurant with big flavor. They know your name( Iβm a regular lol). Every item is fresh and full of flavor. The owners, their children, waitress, and Ana are amazing people! Today, I had the pork belly tacos with watermelon slices as my side item. Delicious!
